Overarching Artist statement
All the artwork I have made, was to express the artistic side of me. I personally don't think that people's art has to be good, it just has to show who they really are and their personality. My inspiration came from my classmates and their thoughts. I agree with their choices for what some of my art should be based off of. For the techniques, I used was what my teacher showed and taught me. My artwork is important to me because it shows how I feel and what it means to me as a person.
1. My most successful piece made using a Screen Printing technique.
This was easy to make, I loved how I could easily make a ombrage with the colors. The best part was the design is my hand so I did not need to come up with a different design. The process took almost 40 minutes to make. My teacher showed me and some of my classmates how to "perform" the making of this type of art technique.
2. For the mixed media project I was allowed to take any direction that I wanted so I used charcoal, ink and markers to make this piece. I glued paper on it and wrote all over it. I made random drawings and drew little designs on it, some hidden, some not. The charcoal was very messy it gets everywhere so I decided to use it last. The Indian Ink was my favorite due to how many writing styles you can try to copy ( like 1776 ink writing) . Being able to choose what I did for this project was important because I was allowed to explore different medias and see which ones I liked. Now that I know what kind of art mediums and techniques I like, they can be used in future projects.
3. The styrofoam media was a special one because it was the easiest to use in the picture below we had to make a tower with the styrofoam that was given. I was making my own tower ( as a backup) my tower was needed after a while because the main tower failed by falling over. My(new groups tower) tower was third in place.
This picture i made was based off of nature. The wolfs scars and blood stains represents life experiences and how we learn from them.
This picture has random things in it to show what people doodle in their free time or at least mine.
I am a student at Vernon Malone College Career Academy. I am 16 years of age. When I was younger I would draw for no reason or purpose at all, and I enjoyed it is was fun knowing that iI could make my own world on a piece of paper.
